Chinese actor Ding Yuxi has gifted a fan a gold necklace reportedly worth more than US$4,850 as a “dowry” after her boyfriend proposed to her during his concert.
The fan, known online as King Jiujinjin, shared a video on Douyin showing her boyfriend proposing with a gold ring during Ding’s performance of “Dissipating Dialogue” at a concert in Chengdu, according to AsiaOne.

Ding later attended an event hosted by jewelry brand Lao Feng Xiang, where he told the audience that he had seen King Jiujinjin’s proposal video.
He said he had prepared a hui li, or return gift, for her boyfriend and had also bought the fan a gold necklace as her “dowry.” His studio was instructed to contact her and arrange delivery of the gift. The necklace reportedly cost 32,970 yuan (US$4,850).
The 31-year-old actor has developed a reputation for generosity toward his fans. He previously helped six fans pay for their trips home and bought around 44,000 yuan worth of gold jewelry for fans at an event in Shanghai, according to 8days.
At a dinner in Beijing, he also gave fans quartz beads from a bracelet he was wearing.
Ding rose to prominence for his role as Han Shuo in the 2020 drama “The Romance of Tiger and Rose.” He later appeared in “Moonlight,” “Love You Seven Times” and “Love Game in Eastern Fantasy,” further expanding his popularity.
