The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) gave an update of the meeting through X Post. Told that various issues were discussed in the bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the SCO summit.
At a time when geopolitical equations in West Asia and Eurasia are rapidly changing, dialogue with Armenia has its own significance for India.
This meeting is also a part of India's broader diplomatic strategy, in which emphasis is being laid on further strengthening its relations with Central Asia and its associated regions.

Prime Minister Modi will also hold separate bilateral meetings with Kyrgyzstan President Sadir Japarov and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Especially everyone's attention will be on the PM Modi-Putin meeting to be held in the evening.
PM Modi's next important meeting is scheduled with Kyrgyzstan President Sadir Japarov. This meeting is proposed till afternoon in the President's office.
Relations between India and Kyrgyzstan have traditionally been friendly. Along with political contacts, there is cooperation between the two countries in the areas of defence, security, education, health and trade.
Apart from bilateral relations, the changing security situation in Central Asia, contact and connectivity and economic cooperation are likely to be discussed in the PM Modi-Japarov talks. According to the official programme, PM Modi is scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin at 6 pm.
In the current phase of India-Russia relations, this meeting is being given special importance. Relations between the two countries are not limited to defense only. Energy, trade, investment, nuclear cooperation and strategic partnership are also their main pillars.
