DUBAI, Aug 30: India crushed Thailand by 94 runs to make a winning start to their Group A campaign in the Women's T20 Asia Cup here on Sunday.
After setting a 160-run target, Indian spinners Deepti Sharma (3/0) and Shree Charani (2/10) ran through the Thailand batting, whereas seamer Nandani Sharma also produced an impactful 4-0-18-3.
Earlier in the first half, India were bolstered by Shafali Verma's 36-ball 64 with eight fours and three sixes but a batting collapse left them in a precarious position.
India were cruising at 108 for two at one stage before slipping to 137 for nine.
