September 21, Monday — Regional holiday in some states.
September 22, Tuesday — Local/regional holiday in some states.
September 23, Wednesday — Regional holiday in some states.
September 25, Friday — Banks will remain closed in some states due to local festivals.
26 September, Saturday – Fourth Saturday of the month, banks will remain closed across the country.
27 September, Sunday – Weekly holiday.
Banks will not be closed for 14 days in every state
It is important to keep in mind here that 14 days are not a holiday for all the banks in the entire country. RBI holidays vary by state and city. For example, the Janmashtami holiday of 4 September is applicable in many states, while the Ganesh Chaturthi holiday of 14–15 September is applicable mainly in a few states.
Will be able to do this work even during bank holidays
Despite the bank branch being closed, customers can do many important things through UPI, Net Banking, Mobile Banking and ATM. Facilities like transferring money, checking balance and withdrawing cash from ATM are available. However, it would be better to complete the work for which going to the bank branch is necessary before the holiday.
Stock market will also remain closed in September
The scheduled trading holiday of NSE and BSE in September 2026 is on Monday, September 14 due to Ganesh Chaturthi. Anyway, there is no regular trading in the stock market on Saturday and Sunday.
