Lucknow, Read. The unique initiative of linking the thrill of cricket with social service has been appreciated by senior actor Raza Murad. He said that if cricket runs become a source of food for the needy and entertainment is transformed into a service, then there can be no better message of humanity than this. Raza Murad was addressing the press conference of 'Hunger Free India' and Season 4 of RCL-Restaurant Cricket League at Taj Hotel in Lucknow on Friday.

He said that the fight against hunger is not the responsibility of any one person or organization, but the responsibility of the entire society. The popularity of sports and entertainment can be used as an effective medium for social change. The program started with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' message on stopping wastage of food and respecting it.

Food to 100 people every 10 runs

Arvind Kumar, Founder of Hunger Free India and RCL, said that in the RCL Season-4 to be held in New Delhi in October, food will be provided to 100 needy people for every 10 runs. Apart from the Indian Women's Deaf Cricket Team, participants from farmers, transgender community, chefs, social media influencers, Delhi Police and school teams will participate in the league. According to the organisers, the campaign aims to go beyond the cricket field and raise awareness of hunger, food wastage, responsible food consumption and social responsibility. Its message is to respect food, share it and not waste it. Actors Arun Bakshi, Avtar Gill, Raza Murad, RCL founder Arvind Kumar and representatives of the Indian Women's Deaf Cricket Team were present at the press conference.

Brajesh Pathak appreciated, organizers will meet Yogi

Actor Arun Bakshi told that when Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak was informed about the campaign, he appreciated it and assured cooperation from the government. He said that the organizers will soon meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and give information about this initiative. After this, support and cooperation will also be requested from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Raza Murad had come to the press conference of 'Hunger Free India' and RCL-Restaurant Cricket League Season-4 at Taj Hotel in the capital on Friday. Regarding Jauhar University, he said that the students studying there should not be punished for any dispute or action under any circumstances. He said that any institution or any dispute to it should not affect the education and future of the students studying there. The welfare of the students should be paramount and they should have the opportunity to continue their studies.

Senior actor Raza Murad said that he has a deep connection with Rampur and the future of the students studying in Johar University should not be affected by any controversy or action. He said that education and the future of students are most important. The interests of the students studying should not be ignored under any circumstances.
