Kathmandu. So far 587 people have lost their lives in the massive destruction after the floods in Nepal. Many people are missing. Meanwhile, China has once again sent a message alerting Nepal that the lake in the upper part of Lhende River can burst any time.

In the message sent by China to Nepal, it has been said that the color of the lake being formed since day before yesterday is continuously getting darker. This means that it can burst. China has said that due to the amount of water not being much, the flow of water in the rivers of the lower coastal area may increase slightly, but it is not likely to increase much. It would be better for communities living in low-lying coastal areas to exercise caution.

Due to the breaking of the iceberg in the upper part of the Lhende river, the flow of the river was stopped, due to which this lake was formed. Apart from this, the confluence of Chochen river on China side and Purepu river on Nepal side has been blocked due to flood caused by debris.

According to China's Water Resources Ministry, the water level there is continuously rising and by Friday, 25 lakh cubic meters of water had accumulated in the lake. It is estimated that 30 lakh cubic meters of additional water will accumulate in it in the next three days.

China is continuously monitoring this entire affected area through drones and satellites. It has also done 'modelling' of the flood to assess the possible damage. According to the Chinese side, if some part of the dam breaks, the maximum flow of water can be up to 500 cubic meters per second, which will be limited to the river banks.
