After cleaning the house, the floor looks completely clean for some time, but after some time a layer of fine dust starts appearing on it. In such a situation, it often seems that soil and dust from outside is coming inside the house. However, sometimes this may also be due to wrong method of cleaning.
If the order of sweeping is not correct or some places in the house are being ignored where dust has accumulated for a long time, then the same dust can come back on the floor after cleaning.
If dust starts appearing on the floor in your house after some time of cleaning, then try adopting these easy tips.
1. Always clean from top to bottom
While cleaning the house, it is better to first remove the dust from high places and finally clean the floor.
If you first sweep the floor and then clean the dust from the fan, cupboard or table, the dust falling from above will get deposited again on the clean floor.
Hence the order of cleaning top to bottom Keep. Clean fans, high shelves and other high surfaces first. After this, clean the table and furniture and finally sweep or mop the floor.
2. Use a lightly damp microfiber cloth to clean the dust.
When cleaning the dust accumulated on furniture and other surfaces with a dry cloth, some of it may fly into the air and later settle on the floor.
In such a situation, it may be more useful to use a microfiber cloth by lightly wetting it. Do not wet the cloth too much, but keep it moist enough so that it can hold the dust well.
Avoid putting too much water or moisture on wooden furniture. If there is a thick layer of dust accumulated on the surface, first remove it gently and then clean it with a damp cloth.
3. Don't use feather duster everywhere
It seems easy to remove dust with a feather duster, but sometimes it transports the dust from one place to another instead of removing it completely.
If your goal is to remove dust from surfaces rather than simply moving it around, use a microfiber cloth or duster that can trap dust.
After moving the duster on the furniture, it is also important to clean the surface and floor around it, because dust can fall down.
4. Don't forget to clean under the furniture
Sofas, beds, cupboards and under chairs are places where dust keeps accumulating for a long time. Broom or mop cannot reach these parts during daily cleaning.
Later this dust can spread in the room due to wind or foot movement. Therefore, from time to time, remove the furniture a little and clean the area below it.
Where it is difficult to reach a broom, the help of a long dusting stick, dust mop or vacuum cleaner can be taken.
5. Don't ignore fan cleaning
Dust can accumulate on the blades of a ceiling fan very quickly. When the fan runs, the dust present on the blades can spread through the room with the wind and settle on the floor and furniture.
Therefore, include cleaning the fan in your regular cleaning of the house. Especially if the fan was off for a long time, it is better to clean the dust from the blades before turning it on.
Always clean the fan before cleaning the floor, so that the dust fallen below can be easily cleaned later.
6. Do not use furniture polish excessively
Polish is used to make furniture shine, but applying too much polish can create a sticky layer on the surface. Dust can easily stick to it and the furniture quickly starts looking dirty.
If you use furniture polish, apply it in limited quantities only. It is also easier to use polish by applying it on a cloth instead of spraying it directly on the furniture.
Be careful while using vacuum cleaner
If you use a vacuum cleaner to clean the house, vacuum the floors last. Dust the furniture and other surfaces first, so that the dust falling down can be removed all together at the end.
Apart from this, keep emptying the dust container or bag of the vacuum cleaner from time to time. Overfilling the container may affect the cleaning ability of the machine.
It is important to maintain the correct order of cleaning
It is not always possible to keep the house completely free from dust, but by adopting the right method of cleaning, the dust that quickly settles on the floor can be reduced to a great extent. so while cleaning First the upper surfaces, then the furniture and finally the floor. Follow the rules of cleanliness.
