Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has once again issued a warning and issued a new alert of heavy to very heavy rain in many parts of the country including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a strong possibility of severe thunderstorm with torrential rain in about 15 states of the country including UP and Bihar on Saturday (29 August). The department has asked to be especially cautious regarding this. According to meteorologists, winds can blow at a storm speed of 85 to 87 kilometers per hour during this period. Due to this heavy rain and storm, there is a possibility of huge damage to the standing crops of the farmers. Along with this, there is also a strong possibility of landslides in the hilly states, in view of which IMD has instructed people to stay in safe places and avoid non-essential travel.
There is a possibility of heavy rain at some places and hailstorm at some places.
The Meteorological Department has alerted people living in coastal and low-lying areas due to the possibility of heavy rains and extremely bad weather. Fishermen have been given clear instructions not to go near rivers and the sea at all. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of heavy hailstorm in more than four states of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a cyclonic circulation of upper air in north-eastern Assam and its surrounding areas, while there is every possibility of formation of a low pressure area on the coasts of northern Odisha, due to which the weather has suddenly become so severe.
Alert of heavy rain and storm in these 15 states
According to the Meteorological Department, the 15 states of the country where there is a threat of heavy rain and storm on Saturday include Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu-Kashmir, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat. During this period, there is a possibility of storm blowing at a speed of up to 87 kilometers per hour in many plain areas, due to which instructions have been given to the states of North India to take special precautions.
How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR today?
There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in the capital Delhi and surrounding areas today i.e. on Saturday. During rain, the wind speed can reach 50 to 55 kilometers per hour. If we talk about temperature, the maximum temperature in Delhi on Saturday is expected to be 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 28 degrees Celsius.
Furious form of rain in UP-Bihar
Torrential rain is expected in many districts of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. According to IMD, there has been a warning of heavy rain with a speed of 70 to 75 kilometers per hour in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Moradabad, Bulandshahr, Agra, Mathura, Kanpur, Mirzapur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Balrampur, Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Sonbhadra, Mau, Chandauli, Varanasi and Prayagraj.
Talking about Bihar, apart from the capital Patna, storm alert has been issued with heavy rain in Saran, Siwan, Gaya, Buxar, Bhojpur, Vaishali, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Purnia, Kishanganj, Araria, Saharsa, Supaul, Khagaria, Katihar, Bhagalpur and Begusarai.
Weather patterns and danger in hilly states
The situation remains worrying in the hilly areas also. Alert of heavy rain and thunderstorm is issued in Nainital, Pithoragarh, Chamoli, Almora, Rudraprayag, Udham Singh Nagar, Bageshwar and Champawat of Uttarakhand. On the other hand, warning of heavy rain and strong winds has also been given in Kangra, Shimla, Sirmaur, Hamirpur, Solan, Kullu, Bilaspur and Chamba of Himachal Pradesh. There is an alert of torrential rain with strong winds blowing at a speed of 50 to 55 km per hour in Poonch, Kulgam, Jammu, Pulwama, Anantnag, Rajouri, Udhampur, Kathua and Ganderbal of Jammu and Kashmir.
How will be the weather condition in other states of the country?
There is a possibility of heavy rain in Kolkata, Howrah, Bankura, Murshidabad, West Medinipur, East Bardhaman, North 24 Parganas and Nadia of West Bengal. In Punjab, Gurdaspur, Ludhiana, Patiala, Bathinda, Faridkot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Sangrur and Jalandhar may experience rain with winds at a speed of 50 km.
Heavy rain warning has also been issued in Rajasthan's Alwar, Karauli, Jhalawar, Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur, Banswara, Beawar, Dausa, Dholpur, Bhilwara and Pratapgarh. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Vidisha, Khandwa, Mandla, Indore, Katni, Hoshangabad and Chhatarpur of Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, warning of heavy rain and landslides has also been issued in Ranchi, Deoghar, Dhanbad, Sahebganj, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Palamu, Latehar, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Lohardaga, West Singhbhum and Seraikela of Jharkhand.
