Seychelles recorded 31,628 international arrivals in July, registering a slight growth of 1.8% year-on-year according to the latest visitor arrival bulletin from the Seychelles National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
However, the July increase was not enough to offset the decline in tourist arrivals in the Indian Ocean archipelago.
The bureau said in a press statement that the decline in arrivals during much of the year coincided with disruptions to air travel caused by the conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States, which affected flights through key Middle Eastern aviation hubs used by travelers to reach Seychelles.
The Central Bank of Seychelles said tourism activity was affected by temporary airport closures and the suspension of flights from key transit hubs.

Although services later resumed, flights initially operated at reduced capacity.
Europe continued to dominate Seychelles tourism market in July, accounting for 20,336 visitors, or 64.3% of total arrivals.
Asia was the second largest source region with 6,910 visitors, followed by Africa with 2,905 arrivals.
Tourism remains the cornerstone of Seychelles’s economy, driving economic growth, creating jobs, generating foreign currency earnings and contributing significantly to government revenue.
Seychelles set a tourism record in 2025, receiving 398,841 visitors, a 13.1% increase from the previous year.
