IBPS PO 2026: IBPS PO 2026 recruitment vacancies increased, now 7565 vacancies will be filled..

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has increased the number of vacancies for the Probationary Officer/Management Trainee recruitment for 2026-27. Initially, 7,365 posts were to be filled under this recruitment drive. The revised vacancy count has now risen to 7,565, marking an increase of 200 posts in the IBPS PO recruitment. These revised vacancy details are current as of August 27, 2026.

Notably, vacancies for UCO Bank were not initially listed; however, 200 posts have now been added for the bank, accounting for the total increase of 200 vacancies.

**Vacancy breakdown by bank:**
According to the revised figures, there are a total of 7,565 posts across 11 participating public sector banks for the IBPS PO/MT recruitment.

Bank of Baroda has the highest number of posts at 1,900, followed by Canara Bank with 1,500 posts and the Bank of Maharashtra with 1,100 posts.

**Increase in vacancies by category:**
A comparison of the initial and revised figures released by IBPS shows an increase in posts across all major categories. The highest increase was in the Unreserved category, with 81 additional posts.
Posts for Other Backward Classes (OBC) increased by 54.
Scheduled Castes (SC): 30 additional posts.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 20 additional posts.
Scheduled Tribes (ST): 15 additional posts.

OC (Orthopedically Challenged): 80 posts
VI (Visually Impaired): 77 posts
ID (Intellectual Disability): 91 posts

Previously, there were 84, 78, 75, and 89 posts for these four categories, respectively. This means there has been an increase of 2 posts in each category.

When was the IBPS PO Preliminary Exam held?
The preliminary exam for the IBPS PO/MT recruitment 2026 was conducted on August 22 and 23, 2026.

In addition to the basic salary, selected candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Traveling Allowance, and other benefits in accordance with the rules of the respective participating bank.
