By now, everyone knows there are both advantages and drawbacks when it comes to AI.
Over the last 12 months, Artificial Intelligence has spread across almost every corner of technology, bringing a few benefits but also plenty of concerns.
Even so, machine learning still has a habit of producing some genuinely funny blunders.
One such mix-up affected our social media team overnight, and Arsenal supporters may not enjoy the punchline.
On Wednesday, the team shared a post about David Raya's outstanding clean-sheet record after he was named in the PFA Team of the Year.
Up to that point, everything seemed completely routine.
However, as shown at the bottom of the image, Instagram marked one of the pictures in the post as 'False Information'.
So what exactly was supposedly false about it?
According to Instagram's AI system, the image of David Raya holding last season's Premier League title — a photograph taken directly from Getty — was apparently fake.
So, apologies to all the Gooners out there: even the machines seem to think Arsenal let it slip.
