BHEL Vacancy 2026: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has initiated an apprenticeship recruitment drive for youth who have completed their ITI. Applications have been invited for 380 positions. Candidates who have passed the 10th standard are also eligible to apply for the BHEL Apprenticeship Recruitment 2026. Freshers can apply and gain valuable experience by working at a prestigious organization like BHEL during the 12-month training period. A key feature of this BHEL apprenticeship is that candidate selection will be based on merit; there will be no written examination.

Apprentice Recruitment Across 09 Trades
This apprenticeship drive covers 09 trades, including Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Turner, Machinist, Instrument Mechanic, and Motor Mechanic. There is no written examination in the selection process; candidates will be selected based on the marks obtained in their qualifying examinations.
Eligibility for BHEL Apprenticeship Recruitment 2026
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed High School (10th standard) from a recognized board and completed a full-time ITI course certified by NCVT or SCVT. For the Welder trade, only a trade certificate issued by NCVT is valid.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 27 years of age. This age limit applies to the General category. Age relaxations will be granted as per rules: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and 10 years for PwBD candidates. The age limit will be calculated as of August 1, 2026.

No Written Exam for Selection
Candidates for the apprenticeship at BHEL Tiruchirappalli will be selected based on their qualifying examination marks. The merit list will be prepared based on these marks. In the event of a tie between two candidates, the older candidate will be selected. Candidates who are currently undergoing apprenticeship training or have already completed it are not eligible to apply. Selected candidates will undergo one year of training after joining.

Interested and eligible candidates must first register on the RDSE (NAPS) portal at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. Please note down the registration number after registering there. Subsequently, visit the BHEL Trichy portal at trichy.bhel.com, enter the registration number, and fill in the remaining application details. Additionally, candidates must upload necessary documents, including a passport-size color photograph, signature, 10th-grade mark sheet, caste certificate, Aadhaar card, and any other required documents. Candidates will be contacted via email or SMS regarding selection and other information.
