Ho Chi Minh City ranked fifth.
Vietnam’s southern metropolis will host a wide range of cultural and entertainment activities for the holiday.
The city will stage high- and low-altitude fireworks displays at seven locations from 9 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on Sept. 2.
High-altitude fireworks will light up areas near Thu Thiem Tunnel in An Khanh Ward, Binh Duong New City in Binh Duong Ward, and Tam Thang Square in Vung Tau Ward.
Low-altitude displays will take place at four sites: Saigon Marina IFC Tower in Saigon Ward, Dam Sen Theme Park in Binh Thoi Ward, Kim Long Villa residential area in Nha Be Ward, and Ba Ria Park Square in Ba Ria Ward.
A special outdoor gala is expected to take place on Aug. 31 at Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in Saigon Ward, Binh Duong New City and Tam Thang Square.The program will feature music and dance performances celebrating the nation, President Ho Chi Minh, HCMC, youth and love.
