BSP To Go Solo In Punjab Polls: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has taken a very important and big political decision regarding the upcoming assembly elections in Punjab. In a review meeting with senior leaders and office bearers from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab at the party office in Lucknow, Mayawati made it clear that the BSP will contest all the seats on its own without any alliance or pact with any party in Punjab.

“Alliances hurt party’s vote share and seats”

Addressing the activists, Mayawati said that past experience shows that electoral alliances cause huge losses to the BSP both in seats and vote share. In the face of opposition parties, against the policies of prices, fines and discrimination, the workers have to enter the election field with a strong morale. He instructed to select hardworking, honest and popular candidates in all fields, so that the best results can be achieved in the elections.

BSP eyeing voters upset with Aam Aadmi Party, Congress and BJP

BSP’s main aim is to woo voters who are disaffected with the policies of the current ruling Aam Aadmi Party, Congress and BJP in Punjab. Mayawati emphasized that BSP’s Babasaheb Ambedkarist policies of “Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay” must be widely propagated among the masses to give self-respect to the poor, unemployed and backward classes. For this, orders have been given to reorganize the organization up to the polling station (booth) level.

Review of preparations for Kanshiram Punyatithi and ‘Jan Kalyan Diwas’

Tributes were paid to party founder Manyavar Kanshiram during the meeting. Mayawati instructed that Kanshiram’s death anniversary program be held in Punjab on October 9 in a grand manner. Also, better financial support should be ensured by the Punjab State Unit to carry forward the movement on the occasion of “Jan Kalyan Diwas” to be held on January 15, 2027.
