BJP leader Pratul Shahdev has targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav. Speaking to IANS on the students' agitation, Pratul Shahdev said, “The Hemant Soren government's move on the issue of student agitation has completely backfired. Instead of addressing the concerns of the students, the government has tried to suppress the agitation.

The protest site was turned into a battlefield and it is alleged that students were lathicharged. JMM workers also attacked the students, while the police remained spectators. Apart from this, there have also been allegations of harassment of women associated with the JMM leadership.”

Regarding Akhilesh Yadav, Pratul Shahdev said, “Only two words come to mind for Akhilesh; he can say anything, absolutely anything. His party workers are lucky that his family is not so big that it has 37-38 adult members and it can become a joint family.

Otherwise, all the MPs who won from your party would have been members of your family, because you trust only your family. You don't trust your workers. You yourself are saying that your party did not break because five MPs are from your family.”

Regarding Rahul Gandhi, Pratul Shahdev said, “When I think of Rahul Gandhi, only one thing comes to my mind, 'Incomplete information is dangerous.' “Rahul Gandhi deliberately tries to mislead students because of his ignorance.”

He said that wrong statements are being made by Rahul Gandhi regarding Manusmriti. It is said in Manusmriti that where women are worshipped, where women are respected, God resides there.

He said that Rahul Gandhi talks about rights for women but when it comes to giving women reservation, he backs down and his party votes against it. These are anti-women people. Rahul Gandhi cannot see the cry of the students of Jharkhand. Students were beaten after switching off electricity in Jharkhand.
