Bombay High Court Vacancy: The Aurangabad Bench of the Bombay High Court has announced recruitment for the post of Cook. The application process is currently underway. There are a total of 18 Cook vacancies. Of these, one post is reserved for candidates with disabilities. Following the recruitment process, a selection list of 17 candidates and a waiting list of 4 candidates will be prepared.
What are the essential eligibility criteria?
Character: The candidate must possess a good character and conduct.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed at least the 4th standard.
Language Proficiency: Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak Marathi and Hindi.
Cooking Skills: Candidates must know how to prepare various types of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
Preference for Qualified Candidates: Candidates holding a cooking course certificate from a recognized institute will be given preference.
Experienced Candidates: Preference will also be given to those with at least two years of experience as a cook/chef in a three-star or five-star hotel or a recognized institution.
Age Limit and Relaxation
For this recruitment, candidates from the general category must be between 18 and 38 years of age. Candidates from backward classes are allowed to apply up to the age of 43, availing the relaxation in the maximum age limit. There is no maximum age limit for existing court or government employees; however, they must submit their applications through their respective offices.
Selection Stage | Details
Shortlisting | A list of candidates will be prepared based on the number of applications, educational qualifications, merit, and cooking experience.
Practical Cooking Test | The test will carry 30 marks. Securing a minimum of 15 marks is mandatory; candidates who fail to do so will not be eligible for the next stage.
Physical Efficiency Test | This test will carry 10 marks.
Oral Interview | The interview will carry 10 marks.
Total Marks | The total score across all stages will be 50 marks.
Is there an application fee?
No fee is required at the time of application. However, shortlisted candidates will be required to pay a fee of ₹200. This amount must be submitted via a Demand Draft or Postal Order drawn in favor of the "Registrar, High Court Bench, Aurangabad." This fee is non-refundable.
How to apply?
First, visit the website bombayhighcourt.gov.in and download the application form (Annexure-A) from the official notification.
Fill out the application form carefully and enter your educational qualification details in the correct order. Affix a recent color passport-size photograph in the designated space.
Attach self-attested photocopies of necessary documents with the application, such as mark sheets, proof of date of birth, caste certificate, disability certificate, proof of residence, and a certificate of cooking experience.
Additionally, enclose a character certificate, a family declaration, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) if currently employed by the government, a list of dishes you can prepare, a self-addressed envelope affixed with a ₹5 postage stamp, and passport-size photographs.
Attach all documents to the application form and send them via Speed Post.
Clearly write "Application for the post of Cook" in large letters on the envelope.
