A global rollout of the feature has begun on August 18, available to eligible Teen accounts with free and paid personal plans. Users between the ages of 13 and 17 will be able to register their age to gain access to the 'Teen Experience'. The company is rolling out this feature in phases. So if you don't see this feature in your account right now, don't worry. You can experience this feature in the coming weeks. (Photo Courtesy: Pinterest)
study mode
Learning features include study mode. Which is going to help kids solve problems with questions, hints and step-by-step guidance instead of giving direct answers. When users ask for help in studying, ChatGPT itself will suggest them to use study mode. Also, users can test their practice and understanding with the help of puzzles and other tools.
Study hours feature
Study Hours feature allows setting 'Study Mode' as default for new chats at selected times. Children can set these times themselves or their respective parents or guardians can also set them. The Quiet Hours feature may block or limit the use of ChatGPT at certain times.
The Teen Experience
'The Teen Experience' has very strict safety measures regarding self-harm, violence, eating disorders, dangerous activities and adult or graphic content. During a long session, ChatGPT can advise users to take a break and remind them that this is just an AI tool. The tool can also warn children of sensitive information before uploading an image.
