Tecno has launched its new premium 5G smartphone Pova 8 Pro 5G in the Indian market. The phone has powerful features like 6500mAh large battery, 50MP Sony camera and 144Hz AMOLED display. Its most special thing is the Dot-Matrix screen found on the back panel, which gives the phone a different look from other devices. Know its price and features in detail.
Specifications of Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G
Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G has a 6.78 inch 1.5K AMOLED display. Its refresh rate is 144Hz. The screen has 2592Hz PWM Dimming technology, which helps in reducing screen flicker in low light. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i has been used to protect the display.
The phone has got IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. This means the device offers better protection against conditions such as dust, submersion in water, and high-pressure water jets.
Dimensity 7400 Ultimate Processor
For performance, the phone has a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset. The company has also provided a secondary graphics chip in it, which helps in maintaining the frame rate in supported mobile games. The smartphone has LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It has been launched in two variants 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage:
6500mAh battery and 45W charging
Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G has a 6500mAh battery, which is larger than the 5000mAh battery found in most smartphones today. The phone supports 45W wired charging and 10W reverse wired charging. Bypass Charging feature is also provided in it. During heavy usage, this feature helps to power the phone directly from the charger, bypassing the battery, which can reduce heat generation.
50MP Sony camera and 4K video recording
Talking about camera setup, the phone has a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C main camera, which supports OIS. It comes with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. A 13MP front camera has been provided for selfie. Both the front and rear cameras of the phone can record 4K video at 30fps.
AI Call Assistant and Android 16
Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G runs on Android 16. Many software features like AI Call Assistant are available in it. This feature can record and transcribe normal mobile calls as well as WhatsApp calls. The AI assistant supports English, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi languages. It is also capable of creating text summaries of conversations, extracting important action items and categorizing contacts based on the context of the call.
Alive Matrix Display on the back
The company has given Alive Matrix Display with triangular camera layout on the rear panel of the phone. It is a small dot-matrix display made of 177 Mini LEDs. This secondary screen can show basic information like battery status, timer and Caller ID. It can also function as a desk clock when the phone is placed screen down on the table.

Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G has been launched in Tundra Green, Arc White and Graphite Black colors.
