When will Bhadra’s shadow prevail on Raksha Bandhan?

Special attention is paid to the Bhadra period on Raksha Bandhan. According to religious beliefs, auspicious activities like tying Rakhi should be avoided during Bhadra. This time, Bhadra will be in effect on August 27th, starting with the full moon, and lasting until 9:29 pm.

For this reason, celebrating Rakshabandhan on August 28th instead of August 27th is considered auspicious and in accordance with the scriptures. Bhadra will not be in effect on August 28th, so sisters can tie Rakhi on their brother’s wrist on this day.
