Janhvi Kapoor didn't need a dramatic gown or a runway-worthy couture look to make heads turn at the Mumbai premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. She kept things casual, but, of course, there was a designer twist hiding in the details.

The actor arrived at the star-studded event in a Spider-Man-themed T-shirt, baggy jeans and a black jacket. And while the outfit itself was pretty easygoing, her accessories made sure the look wasn't exactly your everyday jeans-and-tee combination.

The premiere was held in Mumbai ahead of the release of the latest Marvel film and brought together a mix of Bollywood celebrities, television personalities and social media stars. Among the guests, Janhvi stood out with a look that felt relaxed but still very much thought through.

Janhvi's Spider-Man-inspired outfit

For the occasion, Janhvi picked a black T-shirt from Bershka featuring a bright red Spider-Man motif at the centre. The round-neck, short-sleeved tee is priced at around Rs 2,050 and was perhaps the most obvious nod to the film.

She teamed it with a pair of oversized blue jeans from R13. The flared denim came with a concealed fly-and-button fastening and classic five-pocket detailing. Priced at USD 701, or approximately Rs 67,000, the jeans brought a slightly more fashion-forward feel to an otherwise simple outfit.

The proportions also worked in her favour. The shorter T-shirt balanced out the wide, flared silhouette of the jeans, giving the outfit a long, easy shape without making it look too fussy.

Over it, Janhvi threw on a black jacket from Target with red and white stripes across the upper section. It added another layer to the look while keeping the whole outfit firmly in the casual zone.

The Rs 49,000 sunglasses stole the show

But the real fashion moment came courtesy of her sunglasses.

Janhvi finished off the look with geometric-frame sunglasses from Miu Miu, featuring a tortoiseshell pattern. The pair reportedly costs USD 515, which works out to around Rs 49,000.

And that's where the outfit got its little luxury upgrade. The sunglasses instantly made the jeans-and-T-shirt combination feel more styled, while the slightly retro frame added character to the look.

Her beauty look stayed just as effortless. Janhvi wore her hair loose in soft waves, parted neatly down the centre. She kept the makeup understated, opting for a matte pink lip, cool-toned brown liner that was softly smudged around the eyes and a hint of pink eyeshadow. Tinted cheeks brought the look together without taking it into overly glam territory.

It's a very Janhvi way of doing a premiere look: comfortable, cool and casual at first glance, but with enough designer details to make you stop and look twice.

But when it came to the fashion conversation, Janhvi's Spider-Man tee and those nearly Rs 50,000 Miu Miu sunglasses proved that sometimes, you really don't need a red carpet gown to make an entrance.
