How to worship on Hariyali Teej?
- According to astrologers, a day before Hariyali Teej, the devotee should take satvik diet and apply henna on his hands.
- On the day of fasting, wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear new clothes. Keep in mind that do not wear black, purple or gray colored clothes on Hariyali Teej.
- Wear clothes and do makeup and then light a lamp in the puja room and take a pledge to fast. After this, worship Teej as per the rituals in the evening.
- Make clay idols of Mahadev and Mata Parvat for worship. If you are not able to make an idol, then you can buy a clay idol from the market, in which Mother Parvati and Lord Shiva are seated together.
- Install the idol by spreading a red colored cloth on a post and then worship. Apply vermillion to Goddess Parvati and offer wedding items. Offer fruits, flowers, incense etc. to Mahadev.
