The government has clarified on its official social media platform, X, that under the 'One Nation, One Ration Card' (ONORC) scheme, eligible beneficiaries can now collect their rations from any Fair Price Shop (FPS) across the country.

What is the ONORC scheme?

Through ONORC, you can collect rations from any Fair Price Shop in the country.
It is not mandatory to visit only the shop listed on the card to collect rations.
Beneficiaries can choose any authorized FPS according to their convenience.

Collect your rations from anywhere

You can now obtain wheat, rice, and other eligible food grains from any government ration shop at your convenience. Moreover, you have the flexibility to collect a portion of your ration entitlement from one shop and the remainder from another. This facility is particularly beneficial for those living in states other than their home state due to migrant work, education, or employment. They will not need to return to their original ration dealer to collect their rations.

Mandatory conditions

Linking the ration card with Aadhaar is essential.
You must scan your thumb or iris on the e-PoS machine when collecting rations. Once the process is complete, you will receive your allocated quota of rations.
