AI chatbots have become a part of everyday life; people use them to draft emails, generate images, summarize documents, plan trips, solve coding problems, and even seek personal advice. However, many users are unaware that their conversations can also be used to train and improve future AI models. Today, we will tell you about three popular platforms where you can adjust settings to prevent your data from being used for training purposes.

How to stop ChatGPT from using your data
If you use ChatGPT regularly, you can disable model training in just a few steps.

Step 1: Sign in to your ChatGPT account.
Step 2: Click on the profile icon.
Step 3: Open the Settings option.
Step 4: Select the Data Controls option.
Step 5: Turn off "Improve the model for everyone."

Once disabled, your future conversations will not be used to improve OpenAI's models. If you also wish to remove past chats, go to the Data Controls section and select the option to delete your chat history.

How to disable AI training in Google Gemini
To limit data collection, you need to make changes in two places within Google.

Step 1: Turn off Web & App Activity.
Step 2: Go to myactivity.google.com.
Step 3: Open Web & App Activity.
Step 4: Turn off the setting. This prevents new searches, app activity, and related information from being saved for AI training.
However, this does not erase existing data. To remove old activity, use the delete option and select a time range.

Step 1: Turn off Gemini Activity.
Step 2: Open Gemini and sign in.
Step 3: Select the Activity option.
Step 4: Turn off the setting. You can also delete your past Gemini conversations from that same section.
