New Delhi: With the CJP and students’ protests over NEET paper leaks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and members of his council have approached the protesters a number of times in the last 24 hours. While two CJP leaders met Union Minister JP Nadda recently, the Centre continued to invite protesters for talks.

Taking to X earlier today, PM Modi sought to address the issue of NEET paper leaks and said that, while fast-track courts will be set up, those found guilty in NEET paper leak case will be given strict punishment.

“Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth! We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks. Have directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard. This continues our series of steps for safeguarding the interests of students. Those who try to harm the future of our youth will not be spared,” the PM wrote.

He added, “Fast-track courts will be established for the swift resolution of cases to ensure that the guilty in all cases of paper leaks are given strict punishment at the earliest. Instructions have been issued in this regard that the concerned departments must ensure all necessary action.”

Earlier on Thursday, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jitendra Singh said, “I would like to appeal to the students and young friends participating in this protest to come forward for a dialogue. Our doors are open. The meeting can take place either at Nadda ji’s official residence or at his office. The choice is yours (students’ representatives). I will also be present.”

“ We are ready to meet CJP representatives for talks. CJP representatives can either come to my residence or office for a meeting,” news agency PTI quoted Union Health Minister JP Nadda as saying later.

Speaking to ANI, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi too said, “We are ready for the debate. The leaders who had said earlier that we want a debate, later they started imposing conditions…the government is ready for that, and the Government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very sensitive in this. We are sensitive about the students’ future. The examination system and the future of our youth are also included in Viksit Bharat.”
