Bhubaneswar: In an unfortunate incident, a cyclist was killed after being hit bike unknown vehicle while a man died in scooty-bike collision in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.
According to reports, a man was going on his cycle and when he had reached near the Jaydev Batika Chhaka under the Bharatpur police station an unknown vehicle hit him before fleeing from the spot.
The mishap was so severe that the unidentified man died on the spot.
Later, Bharatpur police reached the spot and sent the body to the hospital. They also started an investigation to ascertain the identity of the deceased man and inform his family members about his death.
Investigation is also underway to identify the vehicle that caused the man’s death.
In another such incident, a man died on the spot after his bike collided with a scooty on the Fire station overbridged. The woman, who was riding the scooty, also sustained grievous injuries following the accident. Vehicular moment was affected due to the road mishap.
Commissionerate Police reached the spot and started an investigation after sending the man’s body and the injured woman to the hospital.
