Tezzbuzz Desk- The most common belief among people about heart attack is that during a heart attack, there is severe pain in the chest. But according to medical experts, this does not always happen. Sometimes heart attack can occur without chest pain and this is the reason why people are not able to recognize its signs. If timely treatment is not received, it can prove fatal.

Every minute is extremely important in case of a heart attack. In such a situation, it is important to take even small changes in the body seriously. Especially in women, elderly people and people suffering from diabetes, symptoms of heart attack can sometimes appear like general pain or fatigue.

According to Dr. Amar Singhal, Cardiology Director, Shri Balaji Action Medical Institute, Delhi, heart attack can occur even without chest pain. In many cases, patients do not feel heaviness or pain in the chest, due to which they delay seeking treatment. This delay can make the situation serious.

According to doctors, some such signs may appear during a heart attack, which people often ignore. These include sudden shortness of breath, feeling extremely tired without any reason, cold sweat, dizziness, restlessness, nausea or vomiting. Apart from this, pain or heaviness in the jaw, neck, back or left arm can also be a sign of a heart- problem.

Many times people mistake these symptoms for gas, weakness or general fatigue. But if these problems start suddenly and persist for a few minutes, then it should not be ignored. By reaching the hospital on time, damage to the heart muscle can be reduced to a great extent.

Bad eating habits are increasing the risk of heart disease

Doctors say that changing lifestyle and poor diet are also major reasons for increasing cases of heart attacks. Excessive consumption of fried food, junk food and unhealthy things can increase the level of bad cholesterol i.e. LDL in the body. When LDL increases, it starts accumulating in the veins and can gradually cause blockage. When blood flow is affected the risk of heart attack increases. Therefore, to keep the heart healthy, a balanced diet, regular exercise and periodic health checkups are necessary.

Keep these things in mind

To prevent heart attack, it is very important to understand the signals of your body. Sudden breathing problems, unusual fatigue or pain in any part of the body should not be ignored. Also, heart health can be kept better by staying away from smoking, excessive stress and bad lifestyle.

Experts advise that heart attack does not always manifest in the form of severe chest pain. Therefore, take any abnormal changes in the body seriously and seek medical help immediately if needed.
