Samsung Smart Glasses: Samsung has launched its first smart glasses Samsung Galaxy Glasses in select global markets during the Galaxy Unpacked July 2026 event. Let us tell you that about two months after showing the first glimpse at Google I/O 2026, the company officially introduced this AI-powered wearable. The special thing is that Samsung has partnered with premium lifestyle brands like Warby Parker and Gentle Monster for the design of these smart glasses. Regarding which it is believed that this device will directly compete with Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 smart glasses. But the company has not yet disclosed its price and sale date.
Snapdragon chip and 9 hours of battery
Talking about Samsung Galaxy Glasses, it has Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset. It has an in-built camera which helps AI to understand the surrounding visual context and respond accordingly. Moreover, the company claims that these smart glasses can last up to 9 hours on a single charge. With the help of its charging case, the device can be fully charged seven additional times. For better performance, Samsung has also included an advanced thermal management system in it, which reduces the problem of heating during prolonged use.
Gemini AI will do many smart tasks
Google’s Gemini AI Assistant has been provided in Samsung Galaxy Glasses which claims to provide a completely hands-free experience. Users can receive calls, listen to music, click photos and do many other things through voice commands. Apart from this, AI can summarize long messages, narrate information and also answer questions based on visual context. Along with this, users can also complete many AI tasks like booking a table in a restaurant directly through the glasses.
From live translation to POV recording
Let us tell you that Samsung’s new smart glasses also have features like live translation, voice control and gesture interaction. Users can record their Point of View (POV) during a call and share it instantly through the companion app. Amidst the increasing demand for AI and smart wearables, this offering from Samsung can bring new competition in the market.
