Shravani Mela: If you make reels and videos on social media and have thousands of followers, then this news is for you. Bihar Government has launched a special competition for content creators and social media influencers to promote Shravani Mela 2026 and Kanwar Yatra on digital platforms. In this, a cash prize of up to Rs 3 lakh will be given to the participants who make the best video or reel. Besides, attractive cash prizes and gifts have also been fixed for other winners.
Who can apply and what are the necessary conditions?
Any social media content creator from India can participate in this competition. However, the participant must have at least 25,000 followers on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook or other social media platforms. Applicant must be an Indian citizen and the video must be completely self-made. Only content related to Shravani Mela, Kanwar Yatra, religious traditions, journey of devotees, local culture and tourism will be accepted for the competition.

According to Bihar Tourism Department, the video duration should be between 30 seconds to 2 minutes and it must be recorded in HD quality. Any kind of misleading, objectionable, copied or AI generated content will not be accepted in the video. The prize money is determined as follows:
- First Prize – Rs 3 Lakh
- Second Prize – Rs 2 lakh
- Third Prize – Rs 1 lakh
- 50-50 thousand rupees to two participants
- Consolation prize and gifts of Rs 25,000 each to five participants
When is the application deadline?
To participate in the competition, participants will have to prepare their videos as per the prescribed guidelines and upload them on the prescribed portal of Bihar Tourism Department. The application process will be completed through online Google Form. The department will select the winners after examining all the entries.
According to Bihar Tourism Department, the last date of application is 13 August 2026. After this no application will be accepted. The department will also monitor the submitted content for approximately 45 days to ensure that all rules of the competition are followed. The aim of the government is to effectively convey the religious, cultural and tourism identity of Shravani Mela and Kanwar Yatra to the country and the world through this initiative.
