Manas Shah, known for his roles in popular shows such as Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Yam Hain Hum, and Hamari Bahu Silk, believes that the most significant work in film isn't necessarily the flashiest. Instead, it’s the kind that leaves a lasting impression on viewers long after they exit the theater.
He expressed, “I value films that convey a meaningful message over mere romance or action. I admire the style of Raju Hirani, where laughter, tears, and drama intertwine to deliver a powerful message. Films like 3 Idiots and Munna Bhai MBBS exemplify this, as they evoke emotions while imparting wisdom.”
Shah emphasizes the profound influence storytelling can have on individuals' lives. He remarked, “Although the entertainment sector often overlooks this aspect, the way you perceive life can shift dramatically after watching a film or series. Sometimes, a movie can be a pivotal moment in one’s life.”
He is actively applying this philosophy in his work. Shah mentioned, “I recently produced a film addressing women's menstrual health, focusing on how male family members can support their partners during this time. It’s essential for them to understand and share in that experience, even if they can’t alleviate the discomfort.”
For Manas, the depth of a project holds more value than its scale. He stated, “I would choose a smaller project with a meaningful message over a larger one that lacks substance. To me, that defines a commendable performance.”
