Anne Hathaway on her surprise third pregnancy at 43: 'There's always hope until there's not'

Anne Hathaway has opened up about her third pregnancy, revealing she had virtually no expectations about conceiving at 43 years old. During a red carpet interview at the New York premiere of 'The Odyssey', the acclaimed actress reflected on the journey that led to her pregnancy announcement last month.
According to Access Hollywood , Hathaway expressed gratitude mixed with candid realism about her situation. "There's always hope until there's not, but when you get to a certain age, that hope looks like 1 percent to 2 percent.So we just decided to see where life took us, with a very, very healthy, realistic expectation, which was very low," she said.

And certainly not when you want it — sometimes not ever" she stated acknowledging how their earlier struggles have informed their perspective.
When pressed about how the pregnancy occurred, Hathaway expressed genuine surprise at the outcome. "It's amazing. I mean, we knew what we were doing but… we were so shocked it worked!"she said, conveying the unexpected nature of their conception.
