4 Sexual abuse from the age of four

During the interview, Somi Ali was asked whether the stories of her childhood trauma were true or just rumours. On this he said that this is completely true. According to Somi, her sexual abuse started at the age of 4. She told that when she was 5 years old, Abdul, the cook who worked in the house, sexually assaulted her thrice under the pretext. When she was nine years old. Then the guard took her to his quarters and there too she was sexually assaulted. He said that in his childhood he did not understand what was happening to him.

Somi Ali told that she had told her father that the cook of the house, Abdul, used to take her to his quarters on the pretext of showing her the chickens. He told that initially he had no idea what was happening to him. She used to go with him. She said that whenever she went there, there were no chicks there and he used to sexually exploit her on the pretext. Later he told this to his mother. The mother told his father about this. After this his father called him to his office and then called the accused cook there also. According to Somi, the office staff beat the accused severely.

Parents said- don’t tell anyone

According to Somi Ali, after this accident her mother told her not to tell this to anyone. She said that at the age of just five, she was told that if this news went out, no one would marry her. Somi told that at that time she had asked her mother what wrong she had done. On this, today he says that in our society, incidents of sexual abuse that happen in childhood or adolescence are often suppressed. The child is told not to tell anything to anyone.

Came to Bombay at the age of 16

Somi told that she had come to Bombay at the age of 16 to meet Salman Khan. He had asked his parents to go to India. Then his mother asked who was Salman Khan. She told her father that she wanted to go to India. On this she told her father that she would meet people from her roots and see the Taj Mahal here. On this her father called her to Karachi and said that he would take her to India and meet her relatives. After this she came to Pakistan from America and then she came to Bombay with her father at the age of 16.
