Not only trophy and medal, players will get the most special ring after winning

The most important match of the world's biggest sports tournament has now arrived. The journey that started with 48 teams in the FIFA World Cup 2026 has now reached the last 2 teams. The final of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be held between current champions Argentina and Spain at the New Jersey Stadium in New York on Sunday, July 19. Whichever team wins this final, apart from the World Cup trophy, medal and prize money, the players will also be given a special ring.

Just before the historic final to be held at the New Jersey Stadium, FIFA announced to give a customized ring to the players of the champion team. This is the first time in the history of the World Cup that after the final, the players of the winning team will be given rings in this way. Till now, there has been a provision from FIFA only to give trophy, winner medal and prize money.

Actually, in America there is a trend of giving rings to the players of the winning team in different sports. The championship ring and MVP ring of the famous basketball league NBA are famous all over the world. In such a situation, dedicating itself to the sports tradition of America, FIFA has decided to give this ring to the players of the winning team this time. The winning team will be given 30 rings by FIFA, which will be remembered as the identity of this World Cup.

So what is special about this ring? The first thing is that FIFA has made a total of 2026 such rings, which commemorate the year of the World Cup. But only 30 of these players will get it. The remaining 1996 rings will be made available to fans around the world, who can purchase them at a special price or through bidding. FIFA has not yet announced how this will happen.

Each ring will have its own number, which will start from 1 and last till 2026. Gold has been used in making this ring and many small diamonds are embedded in it. On one side of the ring there will be a World Cup trophy, while on the other side there will be the identity of the winning team. Besides, every ring will also have a certificate of its authenticity. After the final, all 30 players of the winning team will be given these rings temporarily and then they will be taken back. After this, all 30 rings will be customized according to the winning team and players, which will then be given to them in a separate event.
