Tezzbuzz Desk – A shocking news has come out for the fans of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and food lovers of Mumbai. Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has taken major action against the famous Noor Mohammadi Hotel located in Bhendi Bazaar, Mumbai. The food license of this restaurant, famous for Sanjay Dutt’s special recipe ‘Chicken Sanju Baba’ available here, has been suspended.
Flaws revealed in FDA raid
According to reports, the FDA team had inspected Noor Mohammadi Hotel. During this period the officials found many serious deficiencies to cleanliness.
It was told that there was a layer of dirt and oil on the floor and walls of the kitchen. At the same time, presence of flies and insects was also found at some places, due to which questions were raised regarding the quality of food and safety of customers.
Apart from this, records to purity of drinking water and edible oil used for cooking were also not available. In view of these shortcomings, the FDA suspended the license of the restaurant with immediate effect.
40 years old relationship with Sanjay Dutt
The relationship between Noor Mohammadi Hotel and Sanjay Dutt is said to be about four decades old. Year 1986 Hotel owner Khalid Hakim had invited Sanjay Dutt after the renovation.
It is said that Sanjay Dutt liked the food there so much that he shared his special chicken recipe with the hotel. Special spices, Kashmiri chilli and curd were used in this recipe.
How did ‘Chicken Sanju Baba’ become famous?
This special dish was named ‘Chicken Sanju Baba’ in honor of Sanjay Dutt. Gradually this dish became so popular that people started reaching this hotel in Mumbai just to taste it.
Many big names have also been crazy about the food of this hotel. Famous painter M.F. Hussain’s name is also said to be among the special customers here.
Given the popularity of this special dish based on Sanjay Dutt’s recipe, its fans have been disappointed after the FDA action. However, there has been no detailed response from the hotel on this matter.
