MGM+ is adding new faces to the cast of Robin Hood Season 2 as filming officially gets begins in Serbia.

Once Upon a Time star Colin O’Donoghue has joined the cast of the upcoming second season alongside James Purefoy and Luke Roberts, as per Deadline.

The second season raises the stakes with the introductions of King Henry (James), Prince Richard (Colin) and Amaury D’Montfort (Luke), whose arrival transforms the political landscape and pushes Rob and his allies into increasingly perilous power struggles.

James’, 62, King Henry is a powerful ruler whose relentless plans for England drive the events of Season 2.

Colin, 45-year-old Irish actor, who will take on the role of Prince Richard is the rightful heir to the throne, faces a fate that could push the kingdom toward civil war, while Luke’s Amaury D’Montfort emerges as an ambitious Norman nobleman seeking influence amid Nottingham’s growing political turmoil.

Lionsgate Television produces Robin Hoodwith showrunner John Glenn, director Jonathan English and Hidden Pictures’ Todd Lieberman among the series’ executive producers.
