Almora (Uttarakhand) [भारत]July 16 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday participated in the 'Garkar at every Door' public relations program of the 'Service, Good Governance and Dedication' campaign. He also participated in the Harela tree plantation drive and planted a sapling in the Garudbaz grounds complex.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the state government considered power as "a responsibility rather than a privilege". Speaking on the occasion, CM Pushkar Dhami said, "We have considered power not a privilege but a responsibility. We have made politics a medium of service and resolution. With this thinking, this Seva Pakhwada is being celebrated across the state. Our aim is that no eligible person should be deprived of the benefits of government schemes. Therefore, governance is reaching your doorstep. We are working on the mantra of simplification, solution, resolution and satisfaction."
Message of nature conservation given on Harela
Earlier in the day, CM Dhami extended his good wishes to the public on the occasion of Harela. The Chief Minister advocated a sustainable future and urged citizens to adopt the ancestral practice of respecting and conserving nature. He said that we should save water and life and conserve our traditional water sources.
Speaking to ANI, CM Pushkar Dhami extended his good wishes for the Harela festival and urged citizens to consider the nature-friendly traditions handed down by their ancestors. He said, "I extend my best wishes to everyone on the occasion of Harela. Harela Utsav has held immense significance in the Devbhoomi of Uttarakhand since ancient times. Our ancestors have celebrated it as a festival to respect nature and promote its conservation."
The Uttarakhand Chief Minister stressed the need to protect the state's natural resources amid rising climate concerns and said we must 'protect' nature and conserve our water sources. (ANI)
