PM Kisan 24th Installment: There is big news for crores of the country's farmers. An important update has emerged for beneficiaries awaiting the 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Following the government's release of the 23rd installment on June 20, 2026, preparations for the next installment have now begun.

Under the PM Kisan Yojana, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually, transferred directly to their bank accounts in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. If you wish to avail the benefits of the 24th installment, you must complete certain necessary procedures in a timely manner. Find out when the next installment is due, the eligibility criteria, and how to check your status.

When will the 24th PM Kisan installment be released?

According to the rules, PM Kisan Yojana installments are released at four-month intervals. The 23rd installment was transferred on June 20, 2026; consequently, the 24th installment is highly likely to be credited to farmers' accounts in October 2026. This time as well, the 'Samman Rashi' (honorarium) of ₹2,000 will be sent to the accounts of eligible farmers.

Payment could get stuck without completing these 3 tasks!

The government has clarified that the ₹2,000 installment will be provided only to those farmers who have fulfilled the following three mandatory conditions:

e-KYC: To prevent fraud and the involvement of middlemen, the government has made e-KYC mandatory for all beneficiaries.

Aadhaar Seeding: Your bank account must be linked to your Aadhaar card and activated for DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

Land Records: Verification and registration of your land documents on the PM Kisan portal are essential.

How to complete e-KYC from home via mobile using 'Face Authentication'

If your e-KYC is incomplete, you can finish the process in moments using your mobile phone by simply showing your face. Here is the easiest way to do it:

Step 1: Download the 'PM-KISAN' mobile app and the 'Aadhaar Face RD' app from the Google Play Store.
Step 2: Log in to the app using the mobile number registered on the PM Kisan portal.
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Beneficiary Status' page within the app.
Step 4: If the e-KYC status shows 'No', click on the e-KYC option, enter the required details, and provide consent to scan your face. Your verification will then be complete.

3 Options for e-KYC: You can complete this process via (i) OTP on the portal or app, (ii) biometric (thumbprint) authentication at a Common Service Centre (CSC), or (iii) face authentication on the mobile app.

How to check PM Kisan beneficiary status?

Follow these steps to find out if your name is on the list and whether previous installments have been paid:

Step 1: Visit the official PM Kisan website (pmkisan.gov.in).
Step 2: Click on 'Beneficiary Status' under the 'Farmers Corner' section on the homepage.
Step 3: Enter your registration number or the required identification details.
Step 4: Enter the captcha code and click on 'Get Data'.
Step 5: The complete status regarding your payment and eligibility will appear on your screen.
Which farmers will not receive the 24th installment?

The government has tightened regulations and temporarily halted payments in certain suspicious cases pending physical verification. Individuals falling into the following categories will not receive the benefits:

Farmers who acquired ownership of agricultural land after February 1, 2019.
Cases where more than one member of the same family—such as both husband and wife, or parents and their minor children—are availing the benefits of the scheme. If your payment is also stuck, you can check your eligibility by visiting the PM Kisan website and using the 'Know Your Status' option or the 'Kisan e-Mitra' chatbot.
