A female vocational teacher teaching in a government school in Jayadevi area of ​​Sundernagar subdivision of Himachal Pradesh died under suspicious circumstances. The woman's body was found hanging in a rented house. Following a complaint by the mother's side, the police have registered a case of torture and abetment to suicide against the husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law and arrested all four.

Was a vocational teacher in government school

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Ashima. She was originally a resident of village Baru, post office Sadhot, tehsil Sarkaghat. After marriage, she was living with her husband in a rented house in Jayadevi area of ​​Sundernagar. Ashima was working as a vocational teacher in Government Senior Secondary School, Jayadevi and was serving in the school for a long time.

Dead body found hanging in room

It is being told that Ashima was in her room last Tuesday evening. After some time, when the family members saw her, they found her hanging in the room. After the incident, the family members got scared and they were immediately taken to the nearby medical college for treatment. However, on reaching the hospital, doctors declared him dead after examination.

Police reached the spot as soon as information was received

As soon as the information about the woman's death was received, the team of police station BSL Colony reached the spot. The police inspected the incident site closely and collected necessary evidence from there. After this, the body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem, so that the exact cause of death could be ascertained.

Brother made allegations of mental torture

The deceased's brother Ashid lodged a complaint with the police that since marriage, his sister was mentally tortured by her husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law. It was alleged in the complaint that Ashima took this step due to continuous harassment and mental pressure. Based on the complaint, the police registered the case and started investigation.

All four accused including husband arrested

Based on preliminary investigation and complaint, the police registered a case against the husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law under various sections including torture and abetment of suicide. After this all four accused were arrested. At present the police is interrogating him and is busy connecting the links of the entire incident.

Forensic team collected important evidence

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the forensic team was also called to the spot. The team has investigated the incident site and collected many important evidences, which will be made part of the investigation. The police are also waiting for the post mortem report and forensic report.

DSP Sundernagar Bharat Bhushan said that the police is taking the matter seriously. No aspect is being ignored in the investigation. Further action will be taken on the basis of post mortem report, forensic investigation and other evidence. Police say that based on whatever facts emerge in the investigation, strict action will be taken as per law.
