Method to make Bandhani Dupatta
To make 1 Bandhani shirt, take cotton cloth. After this, take cold water in a big bowl or vessel, add alum in it and put the fabric in water and leave it for 1 hour. By doing this the color stays well and does not fade away.
2. Now take out the fabric and keep it to dry. When it dries well, tie small knots on the cloth as per your choice. Use strong threads to settle them, so that while dyeing, the color does not go inside these knots and the design comes out clearly.

4. Put the knotted cloth in this hot dye bath. Mix the cloth well so that the color spreads evenly all over. Soak dark colored clothes in dye overnight. After 24 hours, take out the cloth from the dye and dry it in the sun. When it dries, carefully untie the tied knots with light hands. As soon as this step is completed, you can see the beautiful and unique Bandhani pattern.
5. If you want, you can use the fabric directly as a bandhani dupatta. Or cut it in a top-shirt shape and stitch it. Finally, iron thoroughly to remove wrinkles.
