DU SOL admissions for 2026 have commenced. Applications for UG and PG courses must be submitted online. This year, two new courses—BSc Computer Science and MBA (Healthcare)—have been added. Admission updates will also be provided via WhatsApp.

The School of Open Learning (SOL) at the University of Delhi (DU) has started admissions for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses for the 2026-27 academic session. Students can now fill out applications online from the comfort of their homes. SOL is considered an excellent option for students who cannot attend regular college, wish to study while working, or prefer open and distance learning for other reasons. Admissions are being conducted under the Department of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE).

Two New Courses Launched

Prof. Payal Mago, Director of the Campus of Open Learning (COL), informed ABP News that SOL is introducing two new courses this year: MBA (Healthcare) and BSc Computer Science. The launch of these courses offers students new opportunities to study in rapidly growing fields like healthcare management and computer science. Preparations for these courses had been underway for some time, and they are now being launched in the new academic session.

New Feature Added to the Admission Process

A new feature has also been added to the admission process this year. Applicants will now receive OTPs and important admission-related updates via WhatsApp on their registered mobile numbers. This will reduce the need for students to repeatedly check the website and simplify the application process. Admissions for certain SOL courses—such as MBA, M.Lib. Science, B.Lib. Science, and PGDADLM—are already underway; applications for these programs have been accepted since June 17. Options for Learning Foreign Languages

Additionally, applications are open for students wishing to learn foreign languages at the Open Learning Development Center (OLDC) of the Campus of Open Learning. One-year certificate and diploma courses are being offered here. Students can learn eight foreign languages: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. These courses are being conducted in collaboration with the respective language departments of the University of Delhi.

Plans for Online Learning

Prof. Payal Mago stated that there are plans to launch these foreign language courses in online mode in the near future. This will enable students from states other than Delhi to easily avail themselves of these courses. Overall, SOL has provided students with a wider range of educational options this time through new courses, digital facilities, and language-related programs.
