The Public Works Department (PWD) has started using Spray Injection Patching technology to repair the dilapidated roads of the capital Delhi. Road repair work started using this technology from Tuesday, which was inspected by PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh. During the inspection, the Minister said that this modern technology makes road repairs faster, effective and more sustainable. He said that through spray injection patching, potholes and damaged parts can be repaired in less time.

Pravesh Sahib Singh said that the special thing about this technology is that road repair work can be done in any season. Apart from this, there is less impact on traffic during the repairs, due to which people do not have to face long jams or much inconvenience. With spray injection patching technology, potholes and damaged parts on the road can be repaired in a very short time. He said that with this method, repairing patches or potholes at many places is possible in a few minutes.

According to the Minister, the biggest feature of this technology is that there is no need to stop traffic on the entire road during the repair work. Traffic is temporarily stopped only in the area where repairs are being made, while traffic continues to move normally on the rest of the road. He said that repairing a pothole takes only 2 to 3 minutes. Apart from this, this process does not require much manpower or laborers, due to which the work is completed faster and people do not have to face problems like traffic jams.

Road potholes will be filled immediately even during rains, repair work will continue throughout the year with new technology

PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh said that the Delhi government has prepared a plan to make such a system, under which the repair work of roads will continue in every season of rain, summer and winter. He said that if a pothole is formed on a road during rains or any part of the road gets uprooted, it can be repaired immediately with the help of spray injection patching technology. Due to this, people will not have to face problems for a long time due to bad roads.

According to the Minister, in this technique, first of all the dust and soil accumulated in the pothole or damaged area is completely cleaned with high-speed air. A bonding layer of bitumen emulsion is then applied, allowing the new material to stick firmly to the road. Finally, emulsion-coated stones are forced into the hole using high pressure, completing the repair quickly and durably.
