Shagun Sharma, who had taken a break from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, has now announced her exit from the Ekta Kapoor-produced show post-10-year-leap. The actress made an official announcement about the same on her Instagram handle by sharing a bunch of pictures from the sets of KSBKBT 2 on social media. Shagun penned a long note thanking Ekta, Smriti and Amar Upadhyay for sharing their inputs to improve her as a performer. The actress also said that her character, Pari Virani, will always stay close to her heart.

 

Shagun Sharma shared pictures with   Amar Upadhyay, Nirvaan Anand and other cast members from   in her Instagram post. She mentioned in the caption that her heart is full as she says goodbye to Pari Virani.

Shagun feels privileged to be a part of the show which has a history. She grew up knowing and becoming a part of the journey of Kyunki. She feels pride in playing the daughter of Tulsi and Mihir Virani. Shagun gave a special mention to Ekta Kapoor and Balaji Telefilms for giving her an opportunity to be a part of the iconic show of Indian television.

 

While expressing gratitude to the members of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, the actress wrote, “My heartfelt gratitude to Ekta Kapoor, Balaji Telefilms, and everyone who believed in me and trusted me with Pari. Thank you to the entire cast and crew for making every day on set so memorable. Your warmth, support, and love made this experience truly unforgettable. @smritiiraniofficial @amarupadhyay_official it was My Honour to share screen with you.” Shagun also thanked every single person who loved, hated, cheered for and supported her character Pari. While concluding her note, Shagun said that Pari will always be a part of her.

Shagun Sharma’s actor-boyfriend, Aman Gandhi, who is playing the role of Ritik in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, commented, “And how you nailed it.”

 

Shagun Sharma will next be seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 as a contestant. It is starting on August 1, 2026, on Colors TV. It looks like she doesn’t want to play the role of a 16-year-old daughter in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. However, there is no official confirmation about the same. After Shagun’s exit, the fans are curious to know who will play Pari in the Smriti Irani show.
