New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki has officially started bookings of the upcoming Brezza facelift, accepting reservations for a token amount of Rs 11,000. Prospective buyers can secure their vehicle either online via the brand’s official website or by visiting an authorized Arena showroom. Set for a launch on July 24, the update is expected to bring refreshed styling, an expanded feature list, and a new powertrain.
The biggest addition in the new Brezza could be the introduction of Maruti’s 1.0-litre ‘Boosterjet’ turbo-petrol motor. It is already offered with the Fronx delivering 100 hp and 148 Nm of torque. It could be paired with a mated with a 6-speed manual transmission, which was previously spotted on the Brezza test mule.
If brought, the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine could make select Brezza trims that are eligible for the lower 18 per cent GST rate applicable to sub-4-metre petrol cars with engines up to 1,200 cc. At present, Brezza is the only compact SUV in its segment without a turbo-petrol option.

Brezza is going to get some aesthetic updates as well, featuring changes to bumpers, updated lighting setups, and fresh four-spoke alloy wheels. Even the cabin will be getting updates, including new trim and a revised colour scheme, as seen in the spy shots.
Maruti is also expected to significantly upgrade the SUV’s equipment list and could include a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, a powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting and Level 2 ADAS. Spy shots had revealed front parking sensors.
Even though the brand has not announced prices for the updated SUV, the Brezza facelift is expected to have a little price surge from the present model, which falls in the ballpark of Rs 8.26 lakh and Rs 12.86 lakh. It will continue to compete with the likes of Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq, Kia Sonet and Syros.
