Whereas between 31 and 40 overs, England did not lose any wicket and batted cautiously and added 60 runs. However, wickets started falling once again in the last stages. From 41 overs to 47.5 overs, England lost 4 wickets and could score only 55 runs during this period.
Akshar Patel spread his magic
All the bowlers contributed for Team India but Akshar Patel shone the most. He took 4 wickets in 9.5 overs while bowling at an economy of just 6.30. Apart from them, Gurnoor Brar and Prasidh Krishna sent 2-2 batsmen to the pavilion, while Jasprit Bumrah and Shivam Dubey got 1-1 wicket.
Joe Root handled the innings alone
In England’s innings, wickets kept falling from one end but Joe Root stood like a rock at the other end. He faced the Indian bowlers bravely and returned unbeaten after scoring 76 runs on 76 balls. Apart from Root, Liam Dawson played an important inning of 68 runs in 83 balls, while Ben Duckett scored 43 runs in 45 balls.
