Team India: The three-match ODI series between India and England has started today, Tuesday 14th July. The first match between the two teams is being played on the Edgbaston ground. In this match, Indian veteran players Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah have returned to the playing eleven of Team India. The presence of these three players has strengthened the team. Bumrah has returned to the One Day International team after about 968 days. Earlier, he had played One Day International match for India on 19 November 2023.

Bumrah returns to ODI cricket after 968 days

Team India’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was away from ODI cricket for a long time. He played his last ODI International match in the 2023 ODI World Cup final. Bumrah did not play any ODI match after 19 November 2023. However, now after a long wait, Bumrah has returned to the ODI team. In the absence of Bumrah, Team India played big ICC tournaments like Champions Trophy. Now after 968 days, Bumrah has come on the field to play ODI cricket for the Indian team.

Team India changed for the first ODI

In the first ODI match being played at Edgbaston, England captain Harry Brook won the toss and decided to bat first. Young fast bowler Gurnoor Brar has been given a chance in the Indian team. Apart from this, Shivam Dubey has also been included in the playing eleven. However, chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav and fast bowler Arshdeep Singh have been left out of the final eleven.
