Rezvani Quick Shift Kit Revives the Manual Feel for Modern Ferraris, with Lamborghini and C8 Corvette Versions in the Pipeline

Car lovers know well that the dual-clutch transmission has largely dominated the world of modern sports cars. It’s a logical progression, as a DCT delivers faster gear changes and better efficiency than a conventional manual gearbox. However, the dual-clutch setup lacks the tactile engagement that a manual transmission offers, which explains why the traditional stick shift is making a modest return. Ferrari, for instance, phased out its iconic gated manual transmission nearly two decades ago but recently reintroduced it earlier this month with the limited-edition 12Cilindri Manuale. This special model incorporates an electronic clutch pedal and a gated shifter that lets drivers manually control the dual-clutch gearbox, recreating the analog experience when desired.

Of course, unless you’re among Ferrari’s most favored clients, getting your hands on a 12Cilindri Manuale won’t be an easy task. Fortunately, there’s another way to experience something similar. California-based Rezvani Engineering has teamed up with Italy’s Studio Carrozzi to develop the “Rezvani Quick Shift” conversion kit — a package priced at $25,000 that simulates a manual-like driving experience for models such as the Ferrari 458, Ferrari 488, Ferrari F12, and Ferrari GTC4 Lusso. According to the developers, this system is also being adapted for dual-clutch Lamborghini models and the C8-generation Chevrolet Corvette.

Brought into the spotlight by Carscoops, the Rezvani Quick Shift kit is fully reversible, meaning it can be removed without permanent modifications. However, purists might be disappointed to learn that it still retains a two-pedal layout. Unlike Ferrari’s 12Cilindri Manuale, which includes a clutch pedal that electronically controls clutch engagement, the Rezvani kit does not add a functional third pedal. Even so, despite its considerable price tag, the Quick Shift stands out for its broader availability and comparatively lower cost than Ferrari’s latest offering. Moreover, it delivers that pleasing metallic click when moving the shifter — a feature that could make driving an F12berlinetta even more satisfying for enthusiasts.

The collaboration between Rezvani Engineering and Studio Carrozzi doesn’t stop with Ferrari. The team is already developing similar kits for Lamborghini and Chevrolet Corvette C8 models. While some may argue that the Quick Shift isn’t a “real” manual transmission, it does bring a significant portion of the manual experience back while preserving the performance and convenience advantages of a dual-clutch system. It may not truly replace the traditional three-pedal setup, but for many drivers, it promises far more enjoyment than using paddle shifters alone.
