Recognised as one of India’s most iconic and architecturally significant historical monuments, Rani Ki Vav attracts millions of domestic and international tourists every year.
To make the visitor experience more immersive, engaging and memorable, the Government of Gujarat installed a permanent state-of-the-art 3D Projection Mapping Show along with an advanced Heritage Lighting System at the monument.
The project was virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 31, 2026.
Since its launch, the designated agency has been actively managing the operation and maintenance of the show. The attraction has quickly become a favourite among visitors, with more than 44,209 tourists experiencing the spectacular presentation as of July 12, 2026.
The implementation agency nominated the project for the WOW Awards Asia 2026, where it earned the prestigious Gold Award.
The recognition highlights how cutting-edge audio-visual technology can successfully bring Gujarat’s rich historical and cultural legacy to life. By combining modern innovation with centuries-old heritage, the project offers visitors an immersive and unforgettable cultural experience while promoting India’s architectural treasures on the global stage.
