Ashadha Amavasya 2026: In Hinduism, the *Amavasya* (new moon day) is considered highly auspicious for paying homage to ancestors (*Pitrs*), performing acts of charity, and engaging in spiritual practices. While every *Amavasya* holds its own significance, Ashadha Amavasya is regarded as particularly important for *Pitr Tarpan* (offering water to ancestors), ritual bathing, charity, and worship of the Divine. In 2026, Ashadha Amavasya will be observed on Tuesday, July 14, based on the *Udaya Tithi* (sunrise date).
