Czech Republic’s leading car manufacturer Skoda has officially started the deliveries of its recently launched premium SUV Skoda Kodiaq RS in India. This SUV has been brought in the country as a limited edition, the initial consignment of which has now started being delivered to the customers.

All vehicles were sold as soon as they were launched, know what is special

Skoda India has imported this SUV into India as a completely built unit (CBU). Due to extremely limited quantity, only 50 units were brought to India in the first batch, and all these units were completely sold-out within minutes of the booking opening. The country’s first Kodiaq RS has been delivered in ‘Steel Grey’ color shade. Apart from this, this car is also available in attractive colors like Moon White, Velvet Red and Magic Black.

Powerful engine and speed: Skoda’s fastest SUV

The company has used a very powerful engine in Skoda Kodiaq RS. This SUV has a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, TSI turbo-petrol engine, which generates 261 bhp power and 400 Nm torque. Compared to the regular Kodiaq model, this engine gives 60 bhp more power and 80 Nm more torque.

• This engine comes with a 7-speed DSG (dual-clutch automatic) gearbox.
• This vehicle is equipped with Skoda’s 4×4 (all-wheel drive) system.
• In terms of speed, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds, making it the fastest SUV from Skoda in India so far.

Talking about looks and features, it has been given a very sporty and aggressive design. It gets a glossy black front grille, full-width front light strip, and 20-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers that add to its sportiness. Inside the cabin, many premium and modern features are available like a large 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10-inch digital instrument cluster (Virtual Cockpit), sports seats, RS Welcome logo, Canton sound system and Dynamic Chassis Control Plus (DCC+).

Skoda has introduced this performance SUV in a single fully-loaded variant in India. The ex-showroom price of Skoda Kodiaq RS in India has been set at ₹66.99 lakh. With this price and performance, its direct competition in the market is being considered with premium vehicles like BMW X1, Audi Q5 and Jeep Wrangler.
