Roma have intensified their summer transfer activity with an audacious plan to bring Real Madrid forward Endrick to Serie A. The Italian side are determined to construct a powerful new attacking lineup under Gian Piero Gasperini, aiming to pair the young Brazilian with Premier League wingers Crysencio Summerville and Alejandro Garnacho ahead of the upcoming season.

Roma pursue Endrick on loan

As reported by Italian outlet Il Messaggero, Roma are actively negotiating a potential loan move for Real Madrid’s Endrick. Gasperini is keen to secure dependable support for Donyell Malen, who recently committed to a long-term deal with the club this summer. With Artem Dovbyk not fitting into Gasperini’s tactical plans, the Serie A outfit have turned their attention to the Brazilian forward.

Endrick has just returned to Spain following a loan spell at Lyon, where he netted eight goals across 21 appearances. Since joining Madrid in July 2024, the teenager has scored seven times in 40 outings. Roma believe that Jose Mourinho, now managing Madrid, could play an influential role in persuading the youngster to make the switch to Italy.

Summerville becomes Roma’s prime target

Alongside their pursuit of Endrick, Roma have made tangible progress in talks for Crysencio Summerville. Sporting director Tony D’Amico reportedly held a meeting with the player’s representatives to discuss a possible transfer. Summerville signed for West Ham United in August 2024 for €29.3 million following a standout spell at Leeds United.

Since his move to London, the winger has scored eight goals in 56 matches, with his contract running until June 2029. Although negotiations were initially challenging, Summerville has reportedly eased his wage demands. Roma, however, remain firm on their salary cap of €4 million per season and will not exceed €40 million in transfer fees. Despite these financial constraints, the club remain optimistic after positive initial discussions.

Chelsea reject Roma’s opening offer for Garnacho

Should the Summerville deal fall through, Roma have lined up Alejandro Garnacho as a top-tier alternative. The Giallorossi have already approached Chelsea with a proposal for the Argentine forward, who is under contract at Stamford Bridge until June 2032. Garnacho joined Chelsea in August 2025 for €46.2 million following his successful stint at Manchester United, where he recorded 26 goals in 144 appearances.

Since moving to Chelsea, Garnacho has featured in 43 matches and scored eight goals. Roma’s initial offer reportedly included a €5 million loan fee with a mandatory €35 million purchase clause contingent on performance targets. Chelsea, however, have turned down this first bid. Meanwhile, Roma have also placed a €30 million offer plus a 10 percent sell-on clause for Strasbourg winger Diego Moreira.

Roma’s next steps

Roma have now entered a decisive stage of their transfer campaign and are awaiting a final response from Summerville’s camp before submitting a formal bid. At the same time, the club continue to assess the possibility of securing Endrick’s move to Italy. With pre-season fixtures fast approaching, Gasperini is eager to finalise his attacking reinforcements quickly to fine-tune his tactical setup alongside Malen.
