UP Politics: Before the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, political parties are busy finalizing their election strategy. The activities of BJP are intense both at the organizational and government level. On the other hand, the rhetoric regarding seat sharing between Samajwadi Party and Congress has intensified. Congress in-charge Rajendra Pal Gautam and MP Imran Masood are continuously presenting their views. Imran Masood said that it was due to the alliance with Congress in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections that Samajwadi Party could win 37 seats. He also says that Samajwadi Party needed alliance more than Congress.

Reaction to Congress’s statements

So far, Udayveer Singh has reacted to the statements of Congress on behalf of Samajwadi Party. At the same time, the top leadership of the party has only said that both the parties will contest the elections together.

In political discussions, 143 such assembly seats are being mentioned, where the influence of Muslim voters is considered. It is believed that both the parties are trying to strengthen their claims on these seats. According to the report, in about 70 seats the Muslim population is between 20 to 30 percent, while there are 43 seats where the Muslim population is said to be more than 30 percent.

The report also said that on about 36 assembly seats, Muslim candidates may be in a position to register victory on their own, while on 107 seats, Muslim voters have the ability to influence the election results.

In political analysis, it is also believed that Samajwadi Party is trying to include other sections along with Yadavs and other backward classes. At the same time, Congress is also claiming more seats under the alliance in the assembly elections. In such a situation, talks between the two parties regarding seat sharing are going to be important in the coming times.
